ANY
SUBSTANTIAL CHANGES MADE TO PROPERTY OR OUTSIDE OF HOME MUST SUBMIT AN APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL TO MODIFICATIONS COMMITTEE.
FAILURE TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION COULD RESULT IN REMOVING OR REDOING CHANGE.
APPLICATIONS
ARE AVAILABLE IN THE CLUBHOUSE AND MAY BE DOWNLOADED FROM THE LAKE CHARLES HOA WEB SITE. THEY CAN BE RETURNED TO THE
MAILBOX AT THE CLUBHOUSE. PLEASE PROVIDE AS MUCH INFORMATION ON APPLICATION AS POSSIBLE TO SPEED UP PROCESS.
MODIFICATION MEETINGS ARE HELD ON WEDNESDAYS AT 9:30 AM IN THE CLUBHOUSE AS LONG AS THERE
ARE APPLICATIONS TO REVIEW. RESIDENTS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND. CONTACT A COMMITTEE MEMBER TO SEE IF THERE WILL BE A MEETING.
CHANGES THAT REQUIRE APPLICATION INCLUDE POOLS, FENCES, LANDSCAPING, CURBING, HOUSE PAINTING
, ROOF, SIDEWALKS, DRIVEWAYS, SCREEN ENCLOSURES, DOCKS, STORM SHUTTERS, GENERATORS, PLAY EQUIPMENT, SOLAR HEATERS OR ANY STRUCTURAL
MODIFICATIONS TO EXISTING HOME (EG; LANAI MADE INTO ROOM, BRICK PATIO, SCREENING ON LANAI OR LOGGIA (ENTRANCE TO HOME).
POOLS
MUST STAY WITHIN 5 FEET OF
PROPERTY LINE, ENCLOSED WITH SCREEN CAGE OR FENCE (SEE FENCE GUIDELINES). APPLICATION MUST INCLUDE DRAWINGS OF PROPERTY AND
A CHECK FOR $500 (NOT CASHED HELD IN ESCROW) MADE OUT TO LAKE CHARLES HOA. CHECK HELD UNTIL CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETED AND
PROPERTY IS RESTORED TO PRE CONSTRUCTION CONDITIONS. COMMITTEE MEMBER WILL INSPECT PROPERTY AND THEN CHECK WILL BE RETURNED.
FENCES
APPLICATION NEEDS TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE MODIFICATIONS COMMITTEE. PLANS MUST BE DRAWN TO SHOW SCALE, MEASUREMENTS
AND POSITION OF THE FENCE PREFERABLY ON A COPY OF THE HOMEOWNER'S PLAT. FENCE CAN ONLY BE AROUND A POOL OR PATIO AND MUST
BE ALUMINUM MINIMUM OF 4 FEET TALL, MAXIMUM 5 FEET TALL. COLORS CAN BE BRONZE, BLACK OR WHITE. STYLE AND COLOR WILL BE APPROVED
BY THE MC. ANY PLANTING OR GRASS INSIDE THE FENCED IN AREA WILL BE MAINTAINED BY THE HOMEOWNER. CAN NOT USE FENCED IN AREA
AS DOG RUN.
LANDSCAPING
SUBMIT DRAWINGS WITH PLACEMENT OF PLANTS, TREES. LIST OF APPROVED SPECIES AVAILABLE AT CLUBHOUSE
OR MODIFICATIONS COMMITTEE. ALL TREE STUMPS MUST BE REMOVED OR BE GROUND DOWN WHEN TAKING DOWN TREES.
CONCRETE LANDSCAPE CURBING OR BRICK CURBING

ARE 7 APPROVED COLORS FROM KWIK CURB. IF YOU CHOOSE ANOTHER VENDOR YOU CAN SELECT A COLOR FROM THE COLOR CHART AVAILABLE AT
CLUBHOUSE OFFICE OR MODIFICATIONS COMMITTEE.
HOUSE PAINTING
APPROVED PALLET. SEE CLUBHOUSE OFFICE OR MODIFICATIONS COMMITTEE FOR COLOR CHIPS.
ROOF TILES
SEE CLUBHOUSE OFFICE
OR MODIFICATIONS COMMITTEE FOR APPROVED TILE COLORS. IF REPLACING EXISTING COLOR NO NEED TO FILL OUT APPLICATION.

2 APPROVED SPECS. PLEASE OBTAIN SPEC PLANS FROM CLUBHOUSE OR MODIFICATIONS COMMITTEE. WHEN
SUBMITTING APPLICATION PLEASE ATTACH COPY OF SPEC YOU WILL BE USING.
HURRICANE
SHUTTERS
MUST BE PANELS (STEEL, ALUMINUM OR CLEAR) , ACCORDION IN
WHITE, BEIGE OR CLEAR.

WEEKS EVEN IF THEY ARE CLEAR. MAY BE INSTALLED WITHIN 48 HOURS BEFORE A STORM AND REMOVED WITHIN 48 HOURS AFTER A STORM.
