To All Lake Charles Homeowners,

 As you know, Florida City Gas has natural gas facilities available throughout the Lake Charles Community, unfortunately less than one-half of your residents are currently enjoying the benefits, both environmentally and financially, offered by utilizing natural gas in their homes. For instance, by switching from a standard electric tank water heater to an energy efficient natural gas water heater, a consumer can save around $200 per year while at the same time reducing their carbon footprint by up to 46%. Natural gas prices are currently at the lowest point they have been since 2003 and with a more than 100 year supply they will continue to remain low in the future.
To help provide financial assistance to your residents to help offset the cost of converting from electric to natural gas, Florida City Gas has energySMART rebates available of up to $1,750, and in most cases Florida City Gas will be able to cover the costs of providing natural gas service to the home at no charge to the customer. We also have significant rebates available for current customers who are in the market to replace their existing natural gas appliances.
As you can see, there are numerous benefits to be realized by the Lake Charles residents. As I stated earlier, we only had the opportunity to reach only 1/10th of your community and I would like to, in a non-intrusive manner, reach out to the entire Lake Charles community. To accomplish this I am requesting that I be allowed to hang door hangers on every home within the community in an effort to provide them with the information necessary for them to make an informed decision on their energy savings. As I said, this would be non-intrusive and I would not be soliciting business in any way.
